Immediately dark and brooding on the nose, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, red and black currants, violets, baking spices, vanilla, and a gravelly undertone. A beautifully dense ruby color in the glass, the palate closely mirrors the nose with the dark fruits playing the leading role and the subtle floral and mineral notes accenting the well-integrated vanilla and spices from 20 months aging in 80% New French Oak. Very well structured with all of the attributes to age gracefully, this is a classic example of Clone 2 Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the premier vineyards on Red Mountain.
